The Brinegar Cabin, built in 1884 by Martin Brinegar, is very near Doughton State Park in Alleghany County, North Carolina, however, this cabin is on the side of the Blue Ridge precipice in Wilkes County, NC. This photo is from 1959. From the collections of the Library of Congress.
